Are you Texas tough? The 4th annual Texas Tough Duathlon takes place at the peak of autumn in the Texas Hill Country. This race is a challenging run, ride, run duathlon and serves as the 2017 State Duathlon Championships as well! With the best post-race food, refreshments, unique registrant and finisher awards, and free racer photos, the Texas Tough Duathlon has become the premier multisport event in Texas.

We have revamped the course venue and we think you will really love it. We will start off from Dr. Sara McAndrew Elementary School, and the 5k will lead us North into the beautiful Hill Country with a rolling out and back. A fair taste of Texas Tough hills awaits you on the 16 mile road ride, heading North up Toutant Beauregard and turning onto Dodge Rd. The bike will turn around and head back at the end of Dodge Rd.The second run will go South from transition for a shorter out and back. The run ends with a nice downhill finish.

PACKET PICKUP & ON-SITE REGISTRATION:
Packet pickup will be 5-7pm Friday Nov. 17th and 12-3pm Saturday Nov. 18th at Fleet Feet Sports at The Rim. On-site registration will be available at packet pickup and on race day until 7:00am.

EVENT PARKING:
PARKING WILL BE STAGED AT DR. SARA MCANDREW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

The Texas Tough Duathlon abides by the Competitive Rules of USA Triathlon. For an overview of the rules, click here.

Important Reminders:

This is a non-drafting event. Bikes must be three bikes lengths apart. If you enter the drafting zone, you must pass the rider in front of you within 15 seconds.
Bike on the right side of the road, pass on the left.
If you are touching your bike, your helmet must be on and buckled.
Helmets must be CPSC certified (look for the little sticker - we will check!)
You may never discard any trash or abandon any equipment on the course. Once you reach an aid station, you may throw any trash in the aid station zone.
Penalties will be assessed for any violations. The first offense is a 2-minute penalty which will be added to final results.

REFUND POLICY:
THE TEXAS TOUGH DUATHLON ENTRY FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE. ALL PARTICIPANT ENTRIES ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE AND NON-REFUNDABLE. YOU MAY NOT TRANSFER OR SELL YOUR RACE NUMBER TO ANOTHER PERSON AND WE DO NOT OFFER DEFERRALS TO EVENTS IN THE NEXT SEASON OR ANOTHER EVENT IN THE SERIES. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY.

Retired Pro Triathlete Mark Saroni, coach of the UTSA Triathlon Team and head of Paragon Training, will be leading a course preview ride of the Texas Tough Duathlon Ride Course.
